Welcome to the Royal Burgh of Stirling The Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band was established in 1977 and the band’s key focus is the commitment to young talent and promotion of piping in the Stirling area. The 2009 season was the band’s first year in grade 3B after being promoted in 2008. Despite the various challenges faced by the band, it has been a hugely successful year after being placed at all Major Championships entered. Focus for 2010 now is to build on that success and work on introducing a grade 4B band to encourage and develop talent.
