Member Development

Looking to learn the pipes or drums or simply just move up a step with your playing? Come and learn with us. With 30 years experience in teaching in Stirling, and many ex players going on to play Grade 1, the Royal Burgh of Stirling has much to offer many players at different stages in their careers.

Our Culture

The Royal Burgh of Stirling is a competing band, aiming to be placed at the various major championships with the ultimate goal of being promoted to the next grade. As well as competing, the band has also enjoyed past trips to places such as Germany, France, Ireland and China.

The band also has an active social side for members of all ages including bowling events, discos, karaoke nights and pub crawls in fancy dress for a bit of fun. Our forum is also a great place for members to share ideas.

Serious and fun is our motto as we aim to encourage a open and honest culture that is welcoming to new members and encourages exiting members to do their best. Why not come along and see.
