European Championships (Lisburn) - 3rd

The band travelled to Lisburn in Northern Ireland to compete in the European Championships picking up 3rd place in grade 4A and securing another 4 championship points.

The band now has a total of 13 championship points and is placed 2nd in the 2008 Champion of Champion tables for the grade.

“The result is amazing and the members have really raised the bar again”, Pipe Major Ian Morris.

With three of the major contests down and only two more to go, the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band will be working hard to keep the momentum going.

“Great - I may open my wallet tonight”, Pipe Sergeant Alistair  McGuigan.

Further great news was the the drummers were placed 5th!

The next contest for us will be the Bridge of Allan Highland Games on the 3rd August before the band visits Glasgow Green for the World Championships on  the 16th August.

‘Mon the Burgh!’
