100 days to the season

Today marks 100 days to the beginning of the competition season for the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band at the Dunbar Games on Saturday 10th May.

The band have spent most of the winter practicing hard and pulling together the tunes which we hope will lead us to another year of success.

With memories of 2007 season fading away, we thought we’d take this opportunity to remind everyone of our success...
4th place at Stirling Highland Games
3rd place at Cowal Games Qualifier
4th place at Cowal Games Final
1st place at Pitlochry Highland Games
            Stirlingshire RSPBA Branch Trophy

Pipe Major Ian Morris comments, “Last year was great to get us back out there but 2008 we hope to push ahead and into the prize list at each contest. The members set the bar by coming last at the Pitlochry Games in September and it’s this that we are aiming to break this year.”

The Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band are still recruiting pipers and drummers and there is still time to join and be part of the coming season. Check out our join section of our site for more information or e-mail us at join@scottishpipeband.co.uk
